SHHHHHHH… This is my Pen Name.

I’m Wynn Valentine, and I live in a cozy hideout with my canine co-author and a towering stack of books that could topple at any moment. When I’m not typing away at my latest paranormal adventure, I’m usually decoding my husband’s weird dreams or pondering the plot twists of my own past lives.

I firmly believe that peopling is overrated, and I’ve perfected the art of summoning everything I need through the magic of online shopping. My idea of a perfect day involves a comfy chair, a good book, and absolutely zero human interaction.

My stories are a delightful cocktail of the paranormal, shaken (not stirred) with generous splashes of my husband’s and my nocturnal imaginings. I specialize in transforming mundane memories and fantastical what-ifs into page-turning adventures that will keep you up way past your bedtime.

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me teaching my dog to read (results pending), trying to convince delivery drivers that my house isn’t haunted (it totally is), and wondering if my next great novel idea is hidden in last night’s leftover pizza.

My Stance on AI

AI is such a new technology for writers. BUT without it, you would not be seeing any of the books I have listened on my page. Why? Because I use many different AI programs to help me organize my thoughts, build worlds, develop characters. You can see, I have a lot of thoughts going on in my head based on a lot of different worlds I imagine - and this isn't even all of them.

I start my process by "talking" with AI to develop the plot, the steps I want the characters to take, missing pieces I may think of later - how do they fit in? And can you imagine coming back and trying to add in a prequel to a world you have already developed? It's harder than I thought!

My memory is not as good as it used to be and on top of all that and being neurodivergent, toss in a traumatic brain injury, and Neuro-Lyme disease because it's never enough.

You can love or hate AI - that's up to you. My ideas and concepts are my own I'm not "stealing" anything or cheating, because without the help of AI, I never would have been able to share any of those ideas with you because it's all too scattered in my head. AI is my junior ghost writer and I manage all the editing aspects and personal touches myself. - Wynn
